A Year To Imagine
“And now let us believe in a long year that is given to us, new, untouched, full of things that have never been.” — Rainer Maria Rilke
I came across this quote in the early part of January, and it stopped me in my tracks.
Without realizing it, I had flipped the calendar to a New Year without so much as a pause to think about what I want this year to be.
You could say that after the longer holiday break, I simply hit “repeat” and proceeded with things just as they had always been.
But what if I took a beat to stop, breathe, and imagine what a literal new year could look like?
I don’t know about you, but I definitely have a bucket list full of things that have never been. Yet.
So take a moment with me to pause, breathe, and imagine the year you want.
(And if some of those things you want include stuff for the web, you know where to find us.)
