Lots of folks will come out of the gate with guns blazing only to have “life”, which includes kids, spouse, school, work, customers, leaky roofs, etc., get in the way of marketing. If you are going to put yourself out there and create an online presence, it is imperative that you maintain it. Almost worse than not starting it at all, is leaving your online profiles (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Blog, etc.) to “die on the vine”. When a potential customer comes across your profile, they immediately see your lack of commitment and it will shine poorly on your business.
Keep them current, compelling, creative and consistent or hire someone to do it for you. It will maintain your professional image and your efforts will almost always returns an array of benefits you would not otherwise enjoy.
